Prudence...
is indispensible here at Old Mountain Farm as first; best friend and second; farm hand.
She loves her chores at milking time. She meets and greets each doe as they make their way to the milkstand and she escorts them back to their stall after milking.
She is a surrogate caregiver to all baby goats and she is an awesome hunter that keeps the farm free from mice, rats and those "pesky" squirrels.
She is at my side 24/7 from when she is quietly and patiently sitting at my bedside in the AM waiting for me to open my eyes to when she is once again sitting quietly at my bedside with my hand on her head until I fall asleep.
Since her very first evening here with us I have referred to her as "good medicine".
She loves to accompany me on trips to the grocery or feedstore and she is admired by every stranger that she meets.
She is welcoming committee for the many visitors to the farm all of whom express their happiness in being around her and they all make a point to mention how wonderful it is that she actually smiles at them with the corners of her mouth turned up in a big collie grin!

For anyone that wants to know what a Collie Grin
looks like....see photo below

THANK-YOU! Dr. Mike for being at our beck and call yet one more time and helping us over the phone when Pru ate Rat poison! This photo was taken a few hours after the "event". Pru is going to be fine!!!
