PRICING & RESERVATIONS:
Old Mountain Farm reserves the right to retain any kid from any breeding at any time.
We do not take monetary deposits on kids before they are born. Instead, we keep a list of anyone who contacts us with an interest in a certain goat or with interest in a kid from certain breedings.
When a goat becomes available for purchase we contact people in the order that they expressed an interest. When it is a newborn kid that becomes available, perference will be given to those that can purchase the kid on a bottle before
it reaches two weeks of age.
After the kid reaches two weeks of age, if it has not sold, it may be removed from the sales list and stay in our herd while it grows and we have more time for evaluations.
Kid prices are determined by quality and resume (such as show records, kidding history, DHI records, Linear appraisal, AGS classification, and HES scores) of dam, sire, and other close relatives. Buck kid prices have been reduced even on those out of our most accomplished does in an effort to make it easier for people to get our bloodlines into their herds which also allows us to keep more replacement does for our own herd. Doe kids out of most first fresheners are most often priced at $400.00.
In an effort to make a kid's shipping experience as stress free as possible, we offer some special pricing:
When two bucklings ship together the one of lesser monetary value is half price!
If a doeling and buckling are shipped together, the one of lesser monetary value is half price!
The first wether purchased is $150.00 the second wether is $100.00.
Goats must be sold in pairs unless they are purchased as a companion for another goat (or appropriate companion) that is already owned by the purchaser.
The final payment on goats must be in the form of cash, or registration papers will not leave with the purchased goat. Instead registration papers will be sent to purchaser after checks have cleared at the bank.
